What are the most challenging aspects of your job at Citizens Bank?

Supporting five Presidents and needing to get them all the same information for their State with the same deadlines. They were a pleasure to work with and I always met their needs.

How would you describe what you did at Citizens Bank?

* Partnered with Compensation, the HR Business Partner, and the clients in the Commercial Banking areas for MA, CT, RI, and PA for the determination and disposition of merit and incentive pay and coordinated and processed nominations and elections for Officer to EVP level colleagues and communicated back to the Presidents of those respective states.
* Implemented the Commercial Intern Program and Mayor's Summer Jobs Program for 2008. Coordinated with the business line the hiring of 10 commercial interns and 25 summer students jobs.
* Responded to customer inquiries or problems by researching, compiling and answering their requests and worked with managers on solving employee relations issues.
* Performed a variety of Human Resources and administrative responsibilities in support of the HR Business Partner for Commercial Banking for the states of MA, CT, RI, and PA including but not limited to managing her calendar, travel arrangements, expense reporting, etc.
* Coordinated health fairs, flu shot clinics, blood drives and benefits fairs during open enrollment and conducted various wellness clinic programs.
* Managed personnel files and I-9's and participated in audits when requested for Commercial Banking. While managing personnel files, assisted the Legal department during litigations as needed.
* Participated with the testing and roll-out of PeopleSoft 9.0 conversion. Assisted with the testing of the Pay Review and Performance Review systems.

My prior skills from woking at Bank of Boston/Fleet as well as networking. I was at my prior company for 13 years and Citizens for six years.

What's the secret to getting hired at Citizens Bank?

You must provide great customer service. At citizens bank we make referrals to the platform to make sure our customers are getting the best products that are available to them. Transitions from service to sales by the teller line is important. Banking experience is preferred but not a requirement. You can apply online and you must be able to pass the assessment test.... read more
