City House?
As a counseling intern, my objective was to provide quality mental health services by establishing working relationships built on empathy, trust and genuiness. I provided family, career, and educational counsel. The most interesting aspect of this position is to individualize skill sub-sets to assist clients in identifying desires, behaviors, and outlining goals for achieving personal growth and fulfillment. * Intake Assessments-collaborate with client's to obtain personal information and identify desirable outcomes through specific achievable objectives. * Counseling-establish a working relationship with client's by apply knowledge of human development and interpersonal relationships to encourage client's self awareness and empower client's towards mental, physical, and emotional congruency. * Referring- individualize with client's to accurately utilizing resources in the community through networking to ensure client's satisfaction and continuity of care. * Leading Groups-suggestively introduce topics, processes questions, and facilitate effective communication in group dynamic. * Follow-ups- ensure client progress and satisfaction through surveys and timely telephone contacts. * Clerical-Accurately document client files by submitting and receiving documentation from state and federal regulatory authorities to protect the client (confidentiality) and adhere to HIPPA....
