AutoCAD Drafter Inspector, estimate job cost Write specifications. I took a project from conception to completion. For example: For Street repair project; * I would check the various areas visually, photograph and mark areas needing repair. * Evaluate what types of repairs were needed. * Estimated the cost of each repair. * Turn in a prioritized list of projects with cost for each repair location included. * When it was decided which areas would be repaired; I would produce the drawings and specification. * Turn in specifications and bid instructions so the job could be advertised.. * Hold a pre-bid meeting. * Hold a bid opening meeting. * Check for proper Bonds and insurance. * Hold a preconstruction meeting. When the project started construction; * I would inspect work and keep records of progress. * I attended Project update meetings with progress reports on my specific project. * I kept track of cost and reviewed pay estimates for time and cost accuracy before they were turned in for payment. When the project was complete; * I arranged a walk-thru inspection with contractor and City engineers. * Inspected any changes required from final walk-thru. * Check to make sure required maintenance bond was correct and valid. * Turned in final pay request upon project acceptance. Types of projects that I worked on: Water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, streets, buildings and park structures. I also inspected new sub-divisions infrastructure (streets, storm systems, water and sanitary sewer mains) that the City would be taking over maintenance on. I kept up the city water and sewer atlases....
