Challenging task are coordinating other staff member schedules with my schedule to ensure time management for testing, report writing, and scheduling dates with parents for multidisiplinary meetings. It takes organization. discipline, and respect for others.

I plan and implement speech therapy lessons to 41 elementary school students. I test and analyze student data, write evalauation reports, assist a team of administrators, teachers, and psychologist to determine student educational placement, and provide student intervention strategies to teachers. Speech Therapist counsel with parents to inform them of student educational plans and how to best assist students, write student progress reports each trimester. and organize meetings between parents and administrators for eligibility meetings. I attend all staff meetings, participate in community activities, and inform teachers of special education training classes....

The state of Nevada laws require teachers to hold licensing degrees in specific subject areas, previous teaching experience and/or a specified amount of hours in college practicum experience, and good job references. Nevada does an extensive background check on each applicant, requires transcripts and references from all previous school districts employed....
