What advice would you give to a new employee at Computer Sciences?

Quit. Management is atrocious. read the book 'No Assholes' Pretty much fits the work environment. These guys got off easy in the Federal suit about not paying overtime. They had been doing it for decades. Halliburton has all the press. CSC has been doing it for years.

??Monitor IBM 3060 Mainframes and multiple computer platforms 24x7 and run daily, weekly, monthly, schedule job reports and perform UNIX Backup and VARITAS Backup and LEGATO and saves, and restores as requested and perform TCP/IP communication network and print all schedule jobs reports and perform system configuration and troubleshooting.
??Bring up engine and bring down engine and log user off and respond to read error messages and monitor and performs enterprise data backups and perform tape management and erasing tape and labeling tapes and checking job status and loading tapes and shipping tapes offsite and executing data commands.
??Maintain log on all jobs performed and observe equipment and monitor control panels: UPS alarm system, A/C alarm system, and Fire alarm system and monitoring computer and network systems and provide daily checklist and monitors the day to day status of the production applications and reports problems.
