Experiences at ConAgra Foods

Led $550MM portfolio (Reddi-wip, Snack Pack, Swiss Miss brands), with $50MM budget; managed 8 direct reports and reported to President, Refrigerated Foods.

The most challenging aspect of my job at ConAgra Foods was Maintaining the machinery. The management of the company ran smooth as long as the production ran smooth and the production ran smooth as long as the operations ran smooth. It is very difficult to fix a machine if it goes down sometimes, but it requires real vigilance and dedication to your work insuring that a machine does not go down....

While employed at ConAgra Foods I was able to experience a little of each different department, from the time the product arrived in the trucks to the time it was boxed and stored. I was really able to see how each different part of the process was related and how the hole company ran as a team. If one area was lacking then the whole process was slowed down and production was lowered....

The secret to getting hired at ConAgra Foods is being able to adapt to your surroundings and keeping up with a fast pace inviroment.

Know the difference between A-grade,Low-grade,and butterball.Good hand-eye coordination.Able to keep up with fast environment.Make sure the product was a good quality product to be sold into stores.
