Registration Specialist
Primary task is to register and admit patients for various medical procedures to the Wheeler Heart and Vascular Center, collect co-pays and work closely with the technicians, This job requires a high degree of confidentiality and knowledge of insurance, medicare and medicaid. Also knowledge of medical terminology, icd codes and ability to work in a high stress environment. Cross-trained in other departments - information receptionist and obtaining pre-certs for insurance purposes and medical orders from physicians ; also trained at Martin Center diagnostic dept., and the urgent care facility at Cox Walnut Lawn. Customer service is a major part of this position and I have an excellent background in this area and the knowledge and experience to deal with a diverse people with compassion and maturity....
