Experiences at Cumming Elementary

The oppurtunity to help teach, being with kids. I have children of my own, so I enjoyed being on the same school/work schedule with them and spending time with them during the summer and through-out the school year on holidays off.

All of it, the staff and being able to teach the children and being with my kids the days they are out of school.

All of the staff, we were all a team and were a family.

The staff,seeing the childrens accomplishments and teaching them.

When the lead teacher I worked with was out alot when she found out she had cancer and we had different substitutes in and some days there were not any, some of those days were challenging. I wanted to make sure the children were learning and having fun at learning. Just making sure the children were getting there requirements everyday and keeping them under control. By the end of the day on these days most accomplishments that were needed for day were accomplished....

I taught SRA(reading) to part of a Kindergarten group and first grade. The teacher I worked with was on leave alot with cancer so I did all the lesson plans for a few months, I helped monitor the lunchroom when children when in there eating lunch for 45 minutes, I loved the children and cared for them and spent some one on one more with the children that needed it, I loved teaching them and loved helping the teacher that I was with....

To be a wonderful teacher and loving and caring for these kids and the concerns that my come up with parents. To see the kids make accomplishments and learn as you go thru the school year.
