As the National High Tech Recruiter for Deloitte's Technology, Media & Telecom Practice, my responsibilities included identifying talent within the high-tech vertical. Key functional areas included:

1. Strategy & Operations (S&O)- Corporate Strategy, Customer & Market Strategy, Supply Chain Strategy, Corporate Real Estate, CFO Services, etc.

2. Technology Integration (TI)- Architecture and Infrastructure, IT Strategy Management, Systems Integration, Wireless and Sensor Solutions, Enterprise Business Integration, etc.

3. Enterprise Applications (EA)- SAP, Oracle, CRM, and SCM....

Responsible for sourcing and recruiting SAP professionals for Deloitte Consulting in the Western Region of the US.

??? Responsible for identifying, sourcing, and recruiting at the Partner and Director levels in support of the Financial Services, Telecommunications, and Federal practices on a global scale. Executive search and strategic hires are the primary focus.

I think each of my recruiting jobs have been challenging because the game is constantly morphing and changing; the inclination is to react when the need is to be a game changer who is a strategic partner. It is constantly creating value with people who don't place a value on recruiting. It is kind of like plumbing that way. You don't realize how important it is until it stops working! I wish I could have a better state of affairs but only recruiters really "get" me....
