How would you describe what you did at Department of State?

Assigned to the Political Department of the U.S. Embassy in London UK assisting in the coverage of critical bilateral and multilateral political and security issues such as global terrorism; the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction; Iraq, Afghanistan, the Middle East peace process, NATO, Balkans issues, Russia, Ukraine and relations with Europe in general. Reporting on specific domestic and international political issues and assisting with visitors and special projects as required such as writing demarches and diplomatic cables; editing and writing daily reports on British and European politics, especially those issues that pertain to relations with the United States; Liaison with the British House of Commons and Foreign and Commonwealth Office on issues pertaining to U.S. and British relations.... read more

Working for the federal government has been an eye-opening experience that has allowed me to learn a great deal in a short amount of time. While I do not intend to be a career government employee, I feel lucky to have found a job right out of college that has given me financial stability and room to grow.... read more
