What advice would you give to a new employee at Department of Veterans Affairs?My best advice that I had given to the employee that took over my position is maintain your files accurately and organized, as well as keep your boss informed of any activities that pertain to the job. It's such a fast-paced occupation that you will fall behind if you're not dedicated to it.

How long did it take for you to land your job at Department of Veterans Affairs?According to my supervisor, my past experience with handling cost accounts with precision, as well as maintaining close communication on any activities or changes towards our accounts. She also mentioned my desire and willingness to improve and lessen our workload.

How would you describe what you did at Department of Veterans Affairs?My duties involved: answering phones (client/customer service, assisting veterans and their families with benefits and entitlements, filing,typing of memos concerning burial rights and contacting various schools and universities to verify newly discharged veterans in receiving education benefits.
