Experiences at Educate Online

Having worked at Educate Online only a short time, I'm learning that each new experience brings its own set of challenges, but they can be overcome with time. I've also learned that teaching online requires skills that are not necessary when teaching in person, but that it is just as rewarding.

The three best things about working for Educate Online is that it is a great company with a wonderful, helpful staff, the virual classrooms are well thought out and organized, and the children are usually eager to learn and motivated.

The toughest problem I've had in the short time I've been employed with Educate Online is managing my time effectively to optimize the time I spend with each child. While this might not be a problem at all in one session, it can be a problem in others, and the solution can be different for each one....

There are many challenges in teaching children remotely. The greatest is in motivating children who are not applying themselves or who are distracted a particular day. Without being right there with the child, you must keep them busy and occupied, remain positive, find a way to focus their attention on the lessons, and reward even the smallest of achievements....

I teach children reading and math in a virtual classroom.

To get hired at Educate Online you must be prepared to answer questions about subject matter in your telephone interview.
