The IT Manager was responsible for the installation and maintenance of all computers, servers, networks, and related systems in the Foundation's Santa Monica office. Responsibilities also include working with the IT Director to plan the Department's budget, define policies, develop departmental strategies, and oversee large scale IT projects. Worked with other IT staff to manage software maintenance schedules, licensing, and asset information to ensure the Foundation' software and systems were tracked and legally compliant.
* Managed the operations of a multi-site Windows 2003 based network infrastructure, including 300+ user Microsoft Exchange email environment, including support of 150+ remote users. * Performed all server installations and configurations and, as senior administrator, supervise a team of PC/LAN Analysts. * Designed and installed improved disaster recovery system based on Symantec / Veritas Backup Exec 10d. * Project Manager for development of improved CRM database system based on Salesforce.com. Performed system analysis, developed requirements, documentation and RFP, managed product selection process, deployed, tested, and customized Salesforce.com database system, and performed data migration. * Upgraded Windows 2000 network, servers, and email systems to Windows 2003 based network, server, and email systems. Set up new 2003 domain and Exchange 2003 servers on Dell PowerEdge servers. * Maintained vendor relationships and negotiate procurement contracts; * Developed and implemented company IT procedures and policies. * Conducted annual IT audit in conjunction with yearly financial audits. * Provided client staff training; established email policies; managed projects to on schedule completion. * Designed, deployed and maintained inter-office WAN using Cisco hardware. * Planned and implemented phased migration from Macintosh based desktop systems to Dell Windows XP based desktop and laptop systems. * Planned, tested, and successfully migrated from generic Pop3 email system to Exchange 2000 email server. * Migrated company from generic Pop3 email system to Exchange 2000 email system with Outlook XP client software in late 2001. * Designed and installed Windows 2000 based network....
