Extreme Research?
In charge of directing business operations including business development, R&D, product strategy, finance, business planning, budgeting, project management and staffing. Direct and develop all aspects of full project cycles for multiple, complex client-driven projects and initiatives, including strategic planning, design, proposal development, contract development & negotiation, project execution, training, and closeout. * Manage up to 40 direct and indirect reports on project-specific engagements; develop and manage project-specific budgets, including financial analysis and forecasting; prepare and evaluate competitive bids for proposals to clients and vendors. * Develop client/industry-specific solutions; lead internal and external cross-discipline teams in the development and execution of projects. * Paid advisor to both "The Council of Advisors" and "BrainMass Professional Advisors".
Major client engagements: ??? Interim Chief Operating Officer, Giacomm Corporation, Carlson, CA, 2002 - 2003 Led this start up company from concept to engineering-phase profitability; pre-positioned company for IPO initiatives. Transformed a technology group into a viable business venture. o Grew business operations from single function operations with five people into a multi-functional business venture with 40 cross-discipline professionals; personally oversaw the recruiting and hiring the executive team. o Developed and executed the strategic plan and performed financial analysis; defined the corporate mission, identity, and role in the marketplace. o Assembled the HR team, which developed job descriptions, identified roles and outlined individual and business unit accountabilities. o Personally developed and presented the business plan to key investors securing critical funding.
