What's the secret to getting hired at Fastenal Company?

Being able to convey the difference between management and leadership, and a thorough understanding of ethical actions and considerations was one of the key factors to being hired at Fastenal. It was also necessary to demonstrate a firm understanding of financial decisions and the ability to responsibly make cost effective financial decisions with little or no supervision, but using a set of guidelines set in place by Fastenal instead. What's the secret to getting hired at Fastenal Company?

Ownership. The whole idea behind this company is to take ownership of everything you do. The focus is to pretend that you are the owner of the company and to make every decision based on that. Customer service is also huge. Without the customer you have no company.
