Experiences at Food Lion Grocery Store

I had been trained to become a produce clerk though the Woodrow Wilson Center for Employment training. I experienced work in the retail store.

I would run the cash register. Help customers that needed help with anything. While it was slow I would put items back on the shelf that customers decided that they no longer wanted.

HARD WORK AND HONESTY

Food Lion, Nashville, TN - Responsible for department when Manager was not on
duty. In charge of 6 other employees, inventory, displays and various aspects of
store operations.

Assisted customers, customer service.

I ran a register, kept the front end clean, did store walks and reshop, and restocked tobacco products.

I scanned the customer's items, collected their money or checks and I gave them their change.

I started off as a bagger at Food Lion. The job I finished with was Grocery Manager. I was in charge of 4 emplyees directly under me and also I was in charge of ordering and maintaing the product level in a store that grossed 250,00 to 300,000 a week in sales.

This position included duties such as performing register operations, daily deposits, till and safe reconciliations, various overrides, refunds, also responsible for the training, supervision, and performance of all aspects of front end acitvities.

Ekards Pharmacy, Shoneys Restaurant (yum, yum), Shomars Restaurant (another yum, yum) Family Dollar Store and a post office (gotta pay those bills).
