Experiences at Fred Meyer

the work was good, poor hours, and must join the union and pay fees to union. Union didn't help me at all. I still was laid off without notice along with 40% of the total stores newly hired employees. Fred Meyer opened this new store and worked us all thru the Xmas time and then just laid us off. I'm being honest here. I feel that Fred Meyer use us all and miss lead us when they hired 300 people....

Worked in retail all of work life

I worked in the Digital print center on site and reconnected with a person that I had worked with at Meier and Frank and he recommended me for the job. I applyed and interviewed and got the job. I indicated that I was very willing to learn and new skills.

Maintained a high level of service to our customers while running a very busy front end, hiring, scheduling, reviews, dicipline, encouragement, train and develope and working together with other managers to achieve the same goals

Customer service, clean department, stock shelves and cases, write orders

Managed all aspects of the Loss Prevention Department. Trained and supervised LP personnel. Attended scheduled meetings, court appearances and training classes. Conducted investigations and interviews of dishonest employees.

Processing all freight into my department, ordering when needed, merchandising, great customer service, cashiering, setting the ad for the week, making labels, making signs, batch work, filling in as needed in other departments
