Experiences at Freelance Writer - Self Employed

Interesting and challenging work.

To have a greater number of truly interesting and dynamic projects that would be genuine contributions to society.

I did a lot of work with an international company that was working on frontier medicine. To work with such brilliant people from so many cultures and countries was absolutely the most challengins, stimulating and rewarding experience of my life.

Aadvancement - well as I am rather invisible, it entirely depends on me. It is quite humbling - my success begins and ends with me as I am the only one here.

Well, I don't know if it is any different from any other person who works at home - there are pros and cons. Family can intrude when you are trying to have business calls and clients. Otherwise the freedom at all levels is quite wnderful.

I was very surprised to discover that I really was able to do quite a number of very different things very well. Because I am self - employed I have to wear a number of hats - necessity is the mother of invention and I discovered that I could do so many more things than I thought I could.

Well, I dont' know if they are lesser known, but... I can work in my pajamas. My cat often keeps me company. I have lots of room and privacy. This room is the only place in the world that is JUST MINE and it is filled with MY STUFF! And.. I can come and go as I please without answering to anyone.

1.The beach at the bottom of the hill. 2. My herb garden. 3. My neighbor's house. 4. My greenhouse. 5. My kitchen.

What ever is fast and in the fridge.

Standing in the kitchen in my pajamas while taking a call from South Africa from an individual who wanted information on advertising in the magazine I published. In the background the toast was burning to a crisp the kids were hanging on my legs and there was general chaos all around but the person on the phone was so intimidated to be talking to "The Editor in Chief" of the magazine. If only they could have seen me at the time!...
