Experiences at Geico Insurance

Getting an "Agreed Price" with certain auto body shops. I wouldn't say it was a problem, it was sometimes time consuming. We would negotiate back and fourth on how much time it would take to repair a vehicle and depending on who I was dealing with this could take a short amount of time or a long amount....

The commute was the most challenging. I drove everyday from where I live in Long Island to the Upper Westchester near the Connecticut border.

* Responsible for writing the repair estimates for both Policy Holders and Claimant's vehicles.
* Examined vehicles to determine structural, body, mechanical, electrical, or interior damage.
* Estimated cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each item of damage, using standard
* Appraised automobile damage to determine cost of repair for insurance claim settlement.
* Evaluated practicality of repair as opposed to payment of market value of vehicle.
* Determined salvage value on total-loss vehicles.
* Reviewed repair-cost estimates with automobile repair shop to secure agreement on cost of repairs.
* Answered customer questions about the repair process, rental vehicle, and/or total loss settlement.
* Trained new hires in the operations and procedures of being an Auto Damadge Adjuster.
* Oversaw repairs to customer vehicles in GEICO's Auto Repair Shops...

I'm a well organized and hard working professional who doesn't mind starting at the the bottom and working my way up.
