Earned a professional certificate while working two jobs.

The program was closely integrated with the Smithsonian via faculty and in terms of best practices in the field. In the spring I completed an exhibition design project through concept brief that was so well received it is currently in

How would you describe what you did at Georgetown University?

My current role at Georgetown requires me to take on an informal creative direction role in addition to my design and project management responsibilities. I collaborate with clients to generate branding and marketing requirements, direct the creative development process, design web sites, and manage projects and client relationships. I am responsible for:
* Developing design standards, guidelines, and creative processes to be used across the entire University community. I also serve as the process owner for the creative development life cycle.
* Consulting with new clients to assess goals and develop tailored strategies, and defining detailed project requirements such as scope, technical specifications, resource needs, schedules, and cost estimates.
* Developing design concepts, consulting with clients to capture their opinions and offering alternative views and rationales to guide customers to design decisions that will provide optimal results.
* Designing and developing web sites, maintaining client communications, managing expectations, and fostering positive relationships. I have supported more than five major University initiatives to date.
* Leveraging extensive knowledge of usability and technical requirements to define and develop information architectures that will enhance the total user experience associated with my clients' web sites.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first year at Georgetown, excelling in all of my classes and extracurricular activities. Outside of the classroom, the majority of my extra time was split between responsibilities as a member of the crew team and as an employee at GUASFCU (Georgetown University Alumni and Student Federal Credit Union).
