What's the secret to getting hired at Glaxo Smith Kline (GSK)?

GSK has a pretty lengthy interview process. I went through a total of 5 interviews from start to finish. I think one important thing, and you could say this about any interview, is to have confidence in yourself and your abilities. Another thing that my manager told me afterwards that impressed her was that I didn't come in expecting a large salary. I have worked on 100% commission in the past and I explained to her that I was comfortable with a lower salary as long as there was an opportunity to make it up through my hard work with bonuses or commission. Fairly or unfairly, pharma gets a wrap sometimes as a profession where reps don't work all that hard and just rely on a comfortable salary. You can set yourself apart as someone that is willing to hustle. Finally, this type of interview typically requires a "brag book" to document accomplishments.
