How would you describe what you did at Harcourt Assessment?

Robbi Cowley leads the recruiting efforts for Harcourt Assessment and is responsible for acquiring the talent necessary to meet business objectives. Robbi brought her background in sales, management and recruiting, and has established a recruiting process that has increased the quality of hire and reduced the cost per hire over the last 3 years.

Robbi started her career in sales, quickly moved into sales management and after 7 years decided to use those skills to pursue a career in recruiting. She joined a boutique recruiting firm where she learned the traditional ways of "headhunting". Her career in recruiting has entailed everything from the mass hiring of temporary workers to placing C level executives globally. Bringing 10 years of recruiting experience, Robbi joined Harcourt Assessment in late 2003 as a recruiter. After being promoted to recruiting manager, she led a team of 7 recruiters and built Harcourt's recruiting process which today entails creative sourcing, behavior based interviews, thorough reference and background checks, and pre-employment assessments.

Key member of President's senior management team. Lead a team of product line managers responsible for 40% of 2007 revenue targets.

Develop / manage software products for traditional flagship clinical assessment products targeted at clinical (both hospital and private practice) / school
psychologists, and speech / occupational therapists. Produced tactical plan to drive incremental revenue with our automated scoring and report writing product lines. Result: achieved $4.2M in incremental revenue over a 6-month period.... read more
