Experiences at Harrah's Operating Company

My work ethic and attention to detail surpass that of most. Comfortable with almost any equipment, style and/or medium, if you can imagine it, chances are I can paint it.

In September, I left a position as one of 2 Faux Painters at the Paris Hotel-Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. My co-worker and I were responsible for making and keeping the hotel and casino walls look like marble, trim look like wood grain, and vaulted ceilings looking like sky and clouds. Using brushes, rollers, rags, our hands and other tools, we applied painted faux-finishes to a variety of different interior and exterior surfaces. I was also in charge of compiling the OSHA inventory. Having been the last crew member to be hired, however, I was the first to be laid off when a Texas firm bought out Harrah's Operating Corporation and implemented nationwide cutbacks across the board.

First and foremost, I am an artist and a team player with a passion for painting and for the recognition and rewards that come to those who out-perform themselves. My core values are -- and I practice these EVERY day:
