What are the most challenging aspects of your job at Hitachi Consulting?

Dealing with vague situations without definition and being expected to know certain things about a client without ever being exposed to them before.

Another challenging aspect is trying to think of the bigger picture when working with a client who is higher-up in his/her organization. It's

* Lead internal market research initiatives to collect and analyze data about intellectual property portfolio management outsource candidates and global best practices. This research initiative provided Microsoft IP&L managers with previously
unforeseen opportunities and improvements with respect to managing the company's massive intellectual property portfolios
Microsoft Projects (Redmond, WA):
* Created partner-ready marketing and messaging materials to increase Office Enterprise 2007 collaboration software sales and to foster partner engagement.
* Determined Microsoft partner concerns with office products via extensive interview sessions and answered those concerns by creating a new "to-and-through" partner-focused sales strategy for the Microsoft Office Groove product team.
* Mapped 46 separate processes for the LCA department and provided high-level observations that provided the senior attorney of the department the information he needed to drive his internal process improvement projects further to completion.

What's the secret to getting hired at Hitachi Consulting?

Showing a love of learning and being adaptable in multiple environments. Explain how you feel comfortable with taking vague problems and creating detailed solutions. Having a background in IT with some consulting experience is definitely a plus.
