What did you learn along the way at Hollywood Video?

This is difficult to answer. I suppose that I learned more about legal issues and work. I had a difficult time at Hollywood Video. I dealt with harassment from co-workers that the company refused to handle and was fired after 4 years of employment without being given a reason. When I tried to collect unemployment, I was denied. And there was nothing I could legally do to compel them to tell me why I had been fired.... read more

How would you describe what you did at Hollywood Video?

As Assistant Store Manager, I served as Manager-On-Duty, helping customers and monitoring/assisting guest services representatives in cash handling and suggestive selling procedures. What's the secret to getting hired at Hollywood Video?

There isn't any secret, really. As the application process is done through a computer and you have to pass a sort-of personality test, it can be difficult to even get an interview. Once you get that interview though, you shouldn't have a problem. I've seen very few people make it to the interview and not get hired.... read more

Many things, I have learned how to be very independant, I have also learned how to be a team player . Reach for high goals. How to reward the partners that work very hard and show them that you care and also the ones that struggle to show them that they can acheive their goals with help

What's the toughest problem you've had to solve at Hollywood Video?

Umm this would have to be the loss prevention side of the buisness. It is always hard when you have to deal with someone who is stealing from your company
