How would you describe what you did at ING?

In a nut shell, I started off as a 401(k) plan manager servicing retirement plans. I enrolled 401(k) participants into their plan. I worked on the IT side of the business for two years as Business Analyst. Moved over to the Annuity side of the business and became a Client Service Manager. Become a business expert on complex death claims and a laison with the Legal Department. In 1999, I became an educational consultant with Aetna (Aetna was purchased by iNG in 2000). Developed and delivered training on various projects, system conversions, website changes and new product launches. I received two Master's Degree since 1992 - one in Commmunication and Information Management and one in Finance. I hold various certifications in training and in the financial industry. How would you describe what you did at ING?

ING is one of the biggest financial services companies in the world, serving 60 million customers in over 50 countries, and has 120.000 employees. Hired to design and enhance the global graduate recruitment strategy for Corporate Risk Management in order to attract and select the best graduates worldwide.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
* Building and enhancing knowledge on the Risk areas within ING, the graduate markets as it relates to hiring risk trainees, universities, external networks, (student) associations and competitors.
* Designing and implementing remote college recruiting model to attract the right candidates.
* Initiated new activities on Second Life, Search Engine Marketing, Online Career Event, etc.
* Supporting the local recruiters to build an image of ING as a preferred employer among graduates and to recruit the right graduates using traditional university approach. Being the central internal and external contact point with regards to recruiting graduates for the Risk trainee programme.
* (Co-)organising regional and global recruitment events for potential graduates for the Risk management programme. Visiting international job fairs.
