When a client, Marta, and I wanted to have lunch. We met at 1 pm, she asked me if I wanted to have lunch before we work.
I liked the idea, so answered "yes, ok".
She had to go back to her car, she ad forgotten where she left it so we first had to find it. During that time, she forgot about the lunch.
I didn't ask for it, I thought maybe we should work first.
We had been working for 5 hours, and after that I asked about the lunch.
She said,oh, the place she wanted to go is closed, so we have to find an other place, and asked me to forgive her about forgetting.
Ok, I said, let's find an other place.
She asked if I knew a place there.
I told, no, I don't.
So, she told me, let's go to the car and find a place in the city.
Ok, we went to the Bank's centre, I visited her office (she had tasks there).
After that, we left the office on foot and had the goal: find a place to eat at 7 pm!
Finally we found a place where we could eat pizza.
We were very tired, hungry and laughing together about how this whole thing....

I had a very good collegue, Richard. He was very clever (although he didn't beleive this), a good IT designer&manager.
We two built the data cleaning system in MOL Oil company.
We had a project leader but he didn't have much time for the project so that we had to big make decisions, and we liked doing it - design, meetings, coding, debugging.
We allocated tasks for ourselves, had responsibilities and ALWAYS helped the other out, if there was a problem.
Later, we had an other project manager and we liked him. Then we were 3, and made the customer data cleaninng system for mol.
We had been a small, effective team. I liked it very much....

I went to the BUTE job seeking event and I found the stand of IQSYS Zrt.
I talked with them about researching and textmining, that I'd like to work in the research area.
They told me there isn't research, but they sell what the others research. Their data mining things could be research, but they sell it so that they work.
I liked this concept, because I thought projects would surely succeed if we have to sell. :)
So I handled my cv in, they invited me to an interview and I'm here now....

You should find the balance between asking or not asking when you don't know something.
You should ask if you really can't do it yourself. But don't ask before you make sure of this - you can sometimes find a good answer at google or in the documents you have.

You should work hard, work well. You should think before you chose a way - everything can be solved in different ways, you should find a good&efficient way.

You should always improve yourself. If you made up something good, tell the others.

Keep everything (files, documents, programs) at leart two places - so that if your computer of the server crashes, you can save your work.

Be helpful with your collegues. Be loyal to the company....

I learned to handle big systems, big data, big problems. I learned how to negotiate with clients.
I learned a lot about developing, designing real applications - this was a plus, after the university.
