How would you describe what you did at Kaiser Permanente?

While working for Kaiser Permanente I worked in Medical Imaging, to be more specific I delt with everything related to imaging. This included digital X-rays, Cat Scans, MRI's and Ultrasounds. I was involved in every detail of the imaging from implementation to suppport. I also worked with digital images from diabetic retinopathy screening. Kaiser is moving toward a completely digital health care system and I was lucky enough to have worked for the company to see many of the modalities implementated and work together to support a large number of patients.... read more

Kaiser Permanente is a very large company, therefore it is not only important to have the proper education that they are looking for, but a likeable personality as well. This is due to the high level of interaction with other Kaiser employees.

What do you miss most about Kaiser Permanente?

I miss my unit at Kaiser, they were the greatest group of nurses and patients. I would love an opportunity to work with all of them again.

What's the best team you worked with at Kaiser Permanente?

The medical staff at San Dimas, CA Kaiser Permanente is an excellent team to work with! From the nurses to the doctors, receptionists, appt. setters, pharmacy staff, x-ray & lab dept., chart rm staff to management-the ENTIRE staff is a great team-working, patient service's, friendly, hardworking, helpful, and expeierenced group of people that I have ever worked for. I placed lab slips in charts, re-filed charts, used microfiche or an early computer program to fill in missing chart identification information (missing file numbers or name/birth date information), and helped with a major Chart Deactivation project. Occasionally I would deliver or pick up charts from individual doctors. When a housekeeping staff member was going to be absent at that clinic I took their place.... read more

What's the secret to getting hired at Kaiser Permanente?

I was working for a temporally agency who happen to place me at Kaiser. I worked as a float. In a couple of weeks I pretty much learned each department. I would always want to know more and more. I felt that the more you learned, the more you are utilized. I guess the felt the same way. I got hired on at Kaiser Stockton within 3 months as a specialty float. I stayed a float because one can learn new things in different departments.... read more
