What's the funniest thing that ever happened to you at Kerry-Edwards Campaign 2004?

John Kerry punched me. Literally. In the shoulder. In front of a small handful of people. It was the last month of the campaign and I was at a dinner and said to him: "senator, we need you to inspire people." He punched me (fairly hard in the shoulder actually) and said back: "I'm trying to."

What's the funniest thing that ever happened to you at Kerry-Edwards Campaign 2004?

Howard Dean popped in through one of the exits near my team's area and very enthusiatically yelled, "Hey, it's the internet team!"

I think he even gave us a thumbs-up.

What do you miss most about Kerry-Edwards Campaign 2004?

I mostly miss the sense of purpose and importance of what we were trying to accomplish. I also miss the fun of calling my grandmother (who was a lifelong Democrat) and having her pepper me with questions about who I had seen in the offices. She got a big kick out of hearing that I had seen Tad Devine, Joe Lockhart, and Bob Shrum.... read more
