I had a paper route when I was 12 and have been working continuously ever since!

something part time I can do from home....

I got it immediately.

I am still there and am only hoping to find some sort of part time job working from home...something along the lines of data entry would be GREAT!

I LOVE to read and read a LOT....I'm not sure about everyone else as it's not like we sit around reading at work:-)...ofcourse, the kids are reading (or should be reading) their assigned curriculum! One of my foreign exchange students was reading Dostoevsky so I got an English translation while he read his in Turkish...we talked extensively about the book and then I wanted him to read "The Kite Runner" but his English was not good enough yet so I spent a Saturday on the internet finding him aTurkish translation:-)...

Anytime you work directly with adolescents, every day is different...it's probably my favorite thing about the job. Working at a public high school is unpredictable and never boring:-).

I really like practical jokes and even though I haven't been there long...one of the assistant principals toilet papered my office when I was out of town attending a conference for foriegn exchange.

there is no telling as we have over 1800 teenagers in our building:-)

that would be a tie between the administration and the other counselors. I especially like having a voice on major student issues and I like being able to work proactively with the kids instead of in a reactionary fashion as I had to do at my previous school.
