Experiences at Lake Waccamaw State Park

As an assitant park ranger, I have a variety of responsibilities. I work with the maintenance crew doing basic landscaping jobs such as spreading mulch around the park, mowing grass, using a weed-eater, backpack blower, and hedge trimmers. I have also helped in constructing a new boardwalk that was placed along a trail in the park. I also assist the park rangers by doing research on various topics to educate the public on in the park, especially school-aged children. I am currently working on a project for grades K-2 and 3-8.
