Myself and one other person were responsible for troubleshooting a network issue at Sprint in Kansas - the issue was seemingly sporadic and was affecting a lot of customers - after 6 months of research, reverse engineering the operating system, poring through millions of lines of code and crash logs, we finally figured it out... read more

What are the most challenging aspects of your job at Lucent Technologies?

The most challenging piece of that job was navigating a global communication structure that spanned 11,000 people and trying to get anything done in a timely fashion - it was a fun challenge, and we made it happen, but but it required a tremendous amount of patience and perseverance

My team at Lucent was responsible for troubleshooting enterprise level issues that had been escalated past tier 3 support - we spent a lot of time on site with clients resolving issues in person

Getting hired at Lucent was all about protocol level networking knowledge - they were fully prepared to provide indepth training on their products, but they needed a solid technical foundation from which to build
