Experiences at M. Zed Christian School

Most of my students, the severity of their disability is moderate to profound.What is tough is when I modify their behavior for I won't be able to teach them properly if they will not behave.

Being with students with different disabilities and severities, I prepare different kinds of lesson plan. I modify the lesson according to the capacity of my student. I handle tantrums by giving them different activities according to the degree of their mood.

As a teacher of the special children I must be innovative and always conscious of the learning styles I deliver to my students. I must be patient and kind to my students in order for them to cooperate. Classroom management must be given focus to be able to handle them properly as they are tough to teach. Discipline strategies are also very important as this would benefit not only for the student but as well as for the teacher handling the class....
