* Modeled and analyzed parts and assemblies for lab projects using Finite Element Package using Patran. Structural and thermal analyses performed
* Suggested methods of improvement for analyzed parts and assemblies
* Granted "secret" level security clearance

What did you learn along the way at MIT Lincoln Laboratory?

I came to the laboratory with little Linux experience and left a guru in the field. I received hands-on experience with server applications such as NIS and Microsoft SMS. I also learned about the complexities involved with managing an IT infrastructure.

How would you describe what you did at MIT Lincoln Laboratory?

I worked as a System Administrator responsible for over 100 workstations and servers utilizing a variety of operating systems. My responsibility was to ensure all of these systems remained secure and operational at all times. In addition to this work I created side projects to benefit the groups time and resources. I constructed two servers to better manage user authentication, spyware, printing, and documentation within the group.... read more
