You must not have a criminal record. There really is no secret to getting hired at Macy's, given that it is just a PT opportunity that a high school person can take while the holiday season is running. I have trained several persons and they have very unqualified for the job. However, the secret to keeping your job is based on how many Macy's credit cards you open in your first 3 months of work. Without those openings, you would be fired....

Placed the merchandise on the selling floor before store opening, assigned the floor for sales, transferred items to other floors, maintained the stockroom to the company safely and followed sanitation standards, set the floor for different sales events such as back to school sales, greeted with customer service and showed visual presentations, assisted with inventories twice a year, and put up signs around the store when needed...

Displayed clearance items by price points, maintained a clean, neat, and organized area to shop environment by signing and merchandising clearances, ensured clearances properly signed, price change accurately assigned, transferred and salvaged misplaced items, and reported damages to my superiors
