Experiences at Maryville College

I was a full-time student who achived his goal of graduation. I did so while marrying my high school sweatheart after my sophomore year. We had our fist daughter my senior year. We had three children and have been married for 31 years.
I worked two to three jobs year round and played two varsity sports. In wrestling I finished in the top 6 nationally and was a three time NCAA All-American. In football I was selected as a Kodak All-Americn Linebacker my junior year. It was all work I would do again!...

It helps to be an alum! The college was looking for a more corporate approach to higher education and I was willing to provide the dedication to this commitment.

My experience in Human Resourses allowed me to implement controls that moved enrollment to record totals. I matched demographic data and regression analysis to meet the targeted areas to recruit from. Reduced data entry hours, streamlined recruiting practices, and communication flow through the application process.
Recruited a strong staff that we paid well and dropped turnover to under 10% annually.
Revisited the financial-aid packages and reduced institutional debt by over 1 million annually, over the first four years.
I directly oversaw the day to day operations and met weekly with the staff to review reports and progress towards our goals....

I obtained a BA in English Literature with a minor in writing communication with interests in philosophy and medieval studies.

I earned a bachelor's degree in International Business with a minor in International Studies. I was also greatly involved with clubs and organizations on campus at every level, whether as a member of the executive board, or as an active member. I was also selected to represent the school in different conferences off campus....
