How would you describe what you did at Microsoft?

I went to a Countrywide sponsored school that taught me what I needed to know about supporting Microsoft operating systems. I learned shills for MCSE, MCDBA, MCSA, and MCT. I chose the MCSE track and completed 4 of the 7 tests before deciding to explore data center achitecture.

What's the secret to getting hired at Microsoft?

Persistence, and or to contract. The HR staff at MS is so bombarded with resumes, that it takes a while for folks to get back to you.. at least that was my experience.

Contracting at Microsoft, is a fast track in the front door, however, does not guarantee full time employment.
