Completed a three month internship, and now work in the Artful Adventures program where Museum staff communicate with teachers from schools, parents, and camp directors to plan meaningful art experiences that revolve around concepts children in kindergarten through high school are learning at school or around a specific topic or theme. Talk with Museum staff, teachers, and chaperones to find relevant artwork and to create lesson plans for groups visiting the museum. Use visual thinking strategies to ask questions that allow children to make connections with the artwork, understand concepts, tell stories, and learn history on their own. Teach children how to make different types of art, and interact with them while they create artwork in the workshop studio or in the galleries....
