What are the most challenging aspects of your job at NACAP?

Building public awareness about a subject that is extremely sensitive and yet remains the #2 fear parents have regarding their children. The actual statistics regarding child abduction are often lumped in with child runaways and even adult dissapearances. Thus, the public has been lead to believe the threat of children becoming missing is grossly exaggerated by the media. The truth is, one missing child is too many! My greatest challenge is to instill upon parents that early and continual education can make a difference. Additionally, that the use of technology to preemptively ID their children will ultimately lessen the odds of their own children disappearing and heighten the chances of getting them back shoudl they become missing. Lastly and importantly, there is the ongoing challenge of funding educational activities in the community. NACAP needs volunteers and money to sustain it's charter. My challenge is to keep the momentum going with such limited resources.... read more

CEO/President/Executive Director
Founded not-for-profit organization and affiliated software development/biometric technology services company, focused on the prevention and rapid recovery of missing children. Received a technology and software patent that utilizes a portable memory device that
comprehensively stores a child's complete medical history, unique physical characteristics including DNA sampling, digital fingerprints, photography, video handwriting and voice signature. Created national safety training program for public and private K-12 schools and day care centers. Managed fundraising efforts via telemarketing and direct mail campaigns.... read more
