Input suspense items into empower,Entered Exceptions for several investors including wells Fargo, Countrywide, citimortgage into Empower. Generated and sorted shipping reports. What are the most challenging aspects of your job at New Century Mortgage?

Since the sub-prime meltdown took the company out shortly after I became permanent, my biggest challenge was to handle the intense stress of working in a crisis situation where very little information was allowed to be communicated to employees.

Starting as a temp through TechLink Systems and becoming permanent staff member in January 2007, I wrote and manged the employee communications via email. I also assisted with web content and other employee communications efforts.

How would you describe what you did at New Century Mortgage?

My duties were are such: to be a lei son with mortgage brokers to document all conditions on loans that were in process. To correctly identify a mortgage rating based off a individuals credit report and to be able to read it accurately. Income documentation and accurately calculating DTI. I have experience with verifications of mortgage and rental history. I also have the ability to read and understand property appraisals. Customer service with brokers was outstanding and processing the loans with accuracy, attention to details while still maintaining a level of fast turn-around times, was also critical. I have extensive knowledge on understanding title reports from various states, and have worked closely with escrow officers to fund residential home loans. I am also familiar with divorce decrees and child support orders. My job was also to research for any information needed. Extensive knowledge of guidelines and program requirements ( while ever changing ) were also required. Clearing conditions of authority level was a must. Doc processing, prepping files and sending out documents to escrow. Working with escrow and brokers to get funding conditions to be able to send out wires. Knowledge of secondary marketing and sub-prime loans. Working with Account Executives as a team to ensure customer service to brokers.... read more
