What's the secret to getting hired at Nordstrom?

The best way to get hired at Nordstrom is to be a positive, upbeat individual with the patience to deal with the customers that come your way. Nordstrom also looks for individuals who can quickly come up with solutions to problems because they empower their workers by giving them the freedom to make a variety of different decisions on their own. My position at Nordstrom was a seasonal employment opportuntity at one of the nations leading retail companies. This job entailed dealing with customers on a one on one basis and helping them to select merchandise. In addition I helped with merchandising products on the sales floor to increase sales and generate awareness. Intense product knowledge was necessary to be productive in this environment, and I had the opportunity to work in several different departments. Assisted clients with various needs in a well known department store, arranged clothing in conjunction with sizes and colors, dressed mannequins on daily basis, price-tagged clearance items, assisted clients with fitting rooms

Built sales to increase revenue and department sales goals. Managed up to 10 employees and handled any issues that came up. Merchandised the sales floor and create displays. Provided excellent customer service and maintained relationships with clients. Planned sales events and trunk shows.
