Experiences at PAI Media Ink

The most unique thing about working at PAI was that it is a very small Public Relations firm so I was able to be involved in all aspects of the business. I was an Intern yet I had the responsiblities of a full employee.

My job was to communcate with the music Blogger community and inform them of the artists we represented. I would say the most challenging aspect of that job is to actually got someone to listen to the song that you are sending. In order to overcome this challenge I wrote integral information in the subject line of the e-mails that would entice a person who was knowledgable in music to open the e-mail. For example one of our artists was working with an Indie producer who is famous in the underground music scene, I made sure to mention his name in the subject line to grab the Blogger's attention....

Wrote press releases.
Created database for music Blogs.
Performed on-line research for new media outlets.
Updated bill-backs.
Performed follow-up calls.
In charge of updating the website and myspace page.
Picked out the "single" for each new client.
