- Duties as editor and senior editor included proofreading press releases for publicly traded and private companies, non-profits and other organizations in a four-state region and preparing them for distribution to media outlets, online databases and financial disclosure points; client consultation, including complementary suggestive selling and assisting PR professionals in opportunities for them to get more pick up of their messages; as well as various supervisory functions, such as performing final checks on press releases for other editors, troubleshooting client issues and escalating them as needed and contributing to the weekly bureau editorial report. - Visited and spoke to college public relations classes about what PR Newswire could offer them in their future careers. - Served as acting supervisor as needed while a senior editor. - Founded and single-handedly produced monthly newsletter specifically for the Texas PR Newswire bureaus....
