Experiences at Paramount Pictures

I would describe what I did at Paramount as something that I am really interested in pursuing more eventually. It gave me a sense of belonging and the notion that I can do anything.

There is no secret, just got lucky and stumbeled apon them needing movie extras. I got lucky to be cast in the movie, but hey. I got in. No regrets at all.

I sucked up.

You have to know someone.

Designed and built set and was property master along with industry mentor Erik Nelson for this film for Paramount Pictures and the KNOW HIV/AIDS Foundation.

It is pretty fair interviewing process. You are screened by HR to determine if you are a fit. You have a skills interview by the hiring manager and upper mangagement. There is a background check. Hopefully, an offer.

It is exciting working in the entertainment industry. There are plenty of long hours, but we get a few perks. At DreamWorks, there is this saying called the DreaWorks 20. Meaning you gain 20lbs your first year. There is food flowing everywhere. They feed us breakfast, lunch, and snacks. They would also include dinner on late nights. You also have the benefit of viewing private screenings from all of the studios. You get to see a few stars from time to time. Above all I have learned many new skills that has enabled me to advance in my career....

I started out as a Financial Analyst for DreamWorks LLC. We were currently bought by Paramount Pictures, and I am apart of a transition team. I was called back after my contract ended to work on another project.
