What are the three best things about working at Penn State GIS Certification Program?

I am very excited by this past year's work in GIS. The field is endlessly interesting and I have often found myself going beyond the expected parameters of our project expectations simply to explore the wealth of data available online and the power of the ArcGIS software. It all invites exploration just as reading the dictionary did when I was a child, and for the same reason - there's endlessly more to learn. Our house is hung with maps, from road maps of Germany to National Geographic thematic maps of earthquake zones to detailed maps of Seattle bus routes and bike trails. The ability to accurately visualize geographic data has always fascinated me.... read more
