I study DNA Replication by Translesion Polymerases and As a new Postdoctoral Fellow, I oversaw the purchase of five different single molecule microscopes for three leading scientists from three different universities (PSU, Stanford, & UT Southwestern) as part of a collaborative grant funded by the Department of Defense. Acing the interview and having confidence in your skills. It's important not to sound robotic in that you reply with answers you were taught to say at your career center and incorporate your own ideas and style while at the interview as well as in other job application materials. Don't be afraid to ask questions, but ask the right questions so that the company/organization knows that you've done your research and you truly are interested in investing time and developing the skills you're bringing to the table with that company....
