CUSTOMER SERVICE, SALES EDUCATION, STOCKING, MERCHANDISING, INVENTORY

I used the register, gave customer service, cleaned, and stocked.

My responsibilities included opening procedures, feeding and watering birds, small animals, reptiles and fish, cleaning cages, fish tanks, checking each animal for health problems. Each week performed a 25% water change for all fish tanks, removed and replaced carbon filtration media in the aquarium systems. During all this I also waited on customers, answering questions, and helping solve their problems. I conducted classes on aquarium and outdoor pond setup and maintenance. I received and checked in product, animals, birds, reptiles and fish. I was part of the initial startup team for the new store. I trained all the new employees who worked in my area including some of department managers...

I would be responsible for the cleanliness of the department I work in. I would take care of the several animals, and I would sell animals/animal supplies from fish, reptiles, birds, and small animals. I would provide excellent customer service, and always do my best to answer a customer's needs. I also do all the daily busy work, and sales at a fast pace, with many customers throughout the day. I also recover the department after closing.

I also handle cash, check, debit, and credit transactions. I recover the store after closing....

I worked in the grooming salon checked in and out clients pets. Took information and instructions from the clients. I would sort out and assign pets to groomers. Bathed, brushed, and did some grooming on the feet and sanitary area. I would also clean the kennels and bathing area every night.

I don't think there is really a secret to get hired at Petsmart. Though I would suggest if you are going to work for Petsmart, or any company like it that you must have an absolute love for the animals and of course the messes they make. Some people out there are really obsessed about the pets they have. You need to cater to these people the best you can. I've taken over an hour or more to help a pet parent get their needs for the new puppy in the house. Honestly it is alot harder then most think. Be up for the challenge, and be ready for anything..some interesting things have been thrown my way working there....

I did alot for this company. Very early I learned to do manager functions and took over for certain managers who were out sick, vacation, basically I filled in where needed. I placed orders, stocked, worked register, I was doing cutomer service. I worked with the animals..cleaning, reciving etc. I also priced the shelves. UPC Specialist is what they called it at the time I believe. They kept me busy over the years. I mean that in a good way :)...

I'am doing my best to do whatever I can to make the company look good. To do all that can for the company.
