How would you describe what you did at Pfizer Global Research and Development?

* Discovered several new scaffolds, using Structure Based Drug Design, as inhibitors of an enzyme for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Proposed and synthesized several analogs for evaluation as potential backups using PMC techniques. Developed scalable and simpler routes for the pre-clinical candidate.
* Accomplished the design and synthesis of several classes of compounds, employing Structure Based Drug Design, that meet the pre-clinical objectives in terms of potency, selectivity, and ADME properties for the treatment of hypertension using PMC techniques. Discovered the key recognition elements responsible for potency and ADME properties which impacted the potential advancement of the project to the pre-clinical stage. An additional impact of this work is that key features which contributed favorably to the potency and ADME properties have been incorporated into other scaffolds and resulted in the selection of a pre-clinical candidate.
