Experiences at PostcardMania

I think the secret to getting hired is showing that you have the job skills for the position offered and to have a strong work ethic along with a sense of fun. I have never worked at a company so dedicated to both customer satisfaction and employee satisfaction. The owner, Joy Gendusa, is all about both. What really sold me ahead of time was that my son, who had friends who had worked at PCM, said he had never heard anything but positive things about the company and especially about Joy herself and he suggested I apply. The secret to staying hired at PCM is to produce well, maintain an earnest willingness to learn, be a team player and enjoy yourself while you're doing it. Because the company is the way it is, no one wants to leave!...

I guess my secret was that I had known the owner, Joy Gendusa, before she even started this company. I happened to be unemployed at the time, saw Joy at a mutual friend's house and she told me to come on by. I thought she was just being nice by saying that. I think I let a week or so go by, then decided to drop in and fill out an application. I expected maybe 10 or 12 staff in some little business suite but was amazed that she had a real going concern of about 75 employees that was continuing to expand, pretty much before my eyes. That was the first thing that amazed me. The second thing was that while I was filling out my application, Joy happened to walk by me and asked me what I was doing. I said I was filling out a job application. She kind of rolled her eyes and said something like, "Come on back to my office". She called her VP Finance up and asked if he could squeeze me in back there in his dept. He thought for a second or so and said something like "Sure - I can use him". And I was put to work. The point isn't necessarily "who you know". In this case, Joy cared enough about me as a friend to just find a place for me in her company and put me to work. THIS REALLY IMPRESSED ME. After getting hired the rest was up to me to do a good job and deliver what was expected. I've been doing that for almost 4 years now. We have a great owner, who observably cares about our customers, the products that we put out and all of the people around her in this company. That's what makes this place such a great place to work. I consider myself lucky to be here.

Of course, all of those qualities mentioned by my fellow workers are definitely part of the secret to getting hired here - - - and after reading some of them, I have to say ya, I guess that's why you guys are here and why we have such an incredible group, because most of this group strives to live up to those quallities. I hope I haven't over done it here, but honestly, this IS the BEST place I have ever worked.

You must have the right attitude; one that is conducive to being a enthusiatic, productive team member. I also feel you should be an appreciatetive individual that would not take for granted such an ideal work environment.

I'm not sure there is a secret to getting hired, but I do know that if you are lucky enough to get hired, then you will love it!! PostcardMania is by far the best company that I have ever worked for!!! Everyone here is honest, hard working and has the same purpose and that is to help other companies boom their business the way we have....

There really isn't a 'secret' to getting hired here at PostcardMania. But what we look for in people who apply is someone who is motivated, upbeat and sincerely cares for their fellow employees, customers and others in general.

You have to be trainable, happy, and exceptional at multi tasking. The team is trying to deliver exchange in abundance - so it's personal with every customer and very fast paced.

The secret to getting hired here is pretty much the same as everywhere else: show a genuine interest in the work for which you're applying, an ability to learn, and be a team player.
