Michael also played a key role in creating a local history book published by the newspaper covering the past 200 years in the area. The book, titled "Paging Through the Past: 200 Years Along the Susquehanna," was published in paperback and is in the Library of Congress.
Michael helped compile several chapters through exhaustive research with local microfilm collections and also researched the national and world news sidebars that appeared throughout the book.
